Sport Chek has opened the company’s first location focused exclusively on kids, according to retail-insider.com.
The store, located at Vaughan Mills near Toronto, is 6,930 square feet on one level and has a ‘shop-by-activity’ configuration. The store caters to infants to age 14.
The article stated that the concept arrives as Sport Chek has seen “tremendous growth” in kids and more kid concepts may open if the Toronto location is successful. Sport Chek opened its first women’s-only store last spring in Calgary.
