The Russian Football Union (RFU) is extending the group’s cooperation agreement with Adidas until 2022.

Adidas has been a technical partner of the Russian national football team since 2008.

“We are pleased to be the largest sports partner of the RFU. Football being the number one brand in the world, Adidas looks forward to the 2018 world Cup and performances sponsored teams,” said Rupert Campbell, general director of Adidas Russia.

“The Russian football Union is pleased to continue its work with Adidas. For many years we develop a mutually beneficial partnership. The collaboration with Adidas also significantly strengthens the marketing potential of the Russian national team. I am confident that together we will gain many more victories,” said acting President of the RFU Alexander Alaev.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off in 14 days, with the opening match in the Russian capital of Moscow.

Russia selected 11 host cities to be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
