ISIS For Women appopinted Lisbeth Kokx as technical outwear developer and Kristen Toy as national sales manager, a new position.
“As ISIS continues to grow, our product development and sales play an increasingly important role in our future,” noted ISIS co-founder Carolyn Cooke. “The apparel category is much more competitive now that companies are recognizing that active women deserve products specifically designed for them. In order to meet the challenges, we must have a focused design and sales effort that builds the brand. Kristen and Lisbeth bring tremendous expertise to our team and that is essential to moving ISIS to the next level.”
Toy will be responsible for all aspects of ISIS domestic sales including overseeing ISIS regional sales force and dealer services. She will work to integrate and strengthen ISIS relationship with its dealer base and continue to expand retail outlets carrying ISIS products.
Toy has worked in the outdoor industry for over ten years, building her expertise in sales most recently with Peregrine Outfitters of Williston, Vermont. While at Peregrine, Toy worked in dealer customer service and as northern tier sales representative. Prior to this, Toy was employed by Benchmark Outfitters, an outdoor specialty story in Farmington, Michigan, as store manager. Toy also held a national sales manager position with JSR Underworld, a Boston-based mail order house. She is an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys telemark and Nordic skiing, canoe and kayaking, hiking and ice climbing.
As technical outerwear developer, Lisbeth Kokx will be responsible for the development of various categories of technical winter and summer womens apparel. Kokx will work with the ISIS design and development team, working along side co-founder and product director, Poppy Gall.
According to Gall, “Lisbeth has a strong background in retail buying, product management and apparel merchandising in the outdoor industry. As an avid backpacker, skier and sea kayaker, she understands performance apparel and the needs of active women.”
Prior to ISIS, Kokx worked as a product manager for Cornell Trading, a lifestyle boutique company and manufacturer of womens apparel and house wares. Previously, she was at outdoor clothing supplier Mammut Sports Group, Inc. (formerly Climb High, Inc.) of Shelburne, Vermont, as marketing and product coordinator where she gained experience in technical fabrics, logistics and merchandising. Prior to moving to Mammuts national offices, Kokx served as retail store manager, hard good buyer and sales associate at the Climb High outdoor specialty store.
