The state of Michigan sued Wolverine World Wide toto reimburse the government for past and future costs of chemical contaminants in drinking water, according to the Associated Press.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, have been detected at or near an old tannery and a dump site north of Grand Rapids.
Wolverine said the suit was expected and it continues to work closely with regulators to resolve the situation.
