Custom cycling apparel maker Champion System USA has been sold to Jay Thomas, the brand’s former vice president of sales and marketing, and Champion System Limited. Thomas will also serve as the company’s managing director.

“In my prior role I came to understand and appreciate Champion System’s role as a pioneer in the custom apparel market; they truly set the standard for delivery, service, and programs,” offered Thomas. “I’m thrilled to work with our service and production teams to expand upon existing product and operational excellence, and to continue to set the benchmarks by which all other custom programs are measured.”

Champion System USA’s corporate headquarters, previously based in Brooklyn, NY, transitions to Thomas’s hometown of Lincoln, NE along with the shift in ownership. In partnership with Champion System Limited, CS-USA’s immediate aim is to reemphasize its commitment to its core business within the cycling, run, and triathlon markets.

Founded in 2005, Champion System specializes in both sublimation printing and garment construction. With offices in 22 countries, the company offers lifestyle and technical wear for athletes across the globe across a wide range of sporting pursuits, including rugby, cycling, running, triathlon, motorsport, Nordic and many more.
