Spin classes, potato-sack races and brain games were the order of the day at the Rally HealthFest hosted by actor and comedian Kevin Hart and digital health company Rally Health. More than 12,000 New Yorkers came out to celebrate healthy living at the free festival in Nelson A. Rockefeller Park in lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City.
People of all ages were joined by Hart as they participated in fun, family-friendly activities ranging from group exercise classes led by Hart’s personal trainer, Ron “Boss” Everline, to races on Hippity Hop balls in the Kids Zone. On hand to help host the event and offer people encouragement to move more and eat healthier was New York’s own Robin Arzon, author of “Shut Up and Run: How to Get Up, Lace Up, and Sweat.” Rally’s partner leading the fitness activities was NYC nonprofit Asphalt Green.
“I loved engaging with the people at today’s Rally HealthFest and showing them that they don’t have to go to extreme measures to improve their health and fitness. Everything we did today was fun and easy to do, and just about everything we did had a health or fitness benefit. I hope that people left feeling inspired and motivated to take the first or the next step in a healthy direction,” said Hart.
The event was Rally Health’s second HealthFest in New York City and fifth event overall across the United States. In 2015, the company named Hart its first Health Ambassador and has since collaborated to host Rally HealthFests and produce health-focused videos starring Hart.
Rally Health’s flagship offering is Rally, a digital health platform that offers a suite of configurable solutions that help people manage their health and health care needs.
