6pm.com, the online retailer, announced the designation of seasoned style expert Jay Alexander as the company's first-ever senior style advisor. This role was created to reinforce the brand's growth through on-trend, in-season merchandise and respond to customers' requests for access to a style expert. In his new role, Alexander will leverage his designer relationships and knowledge of the latest runway and market trends to help customers score the best styles for their entire family.

Alexander has 20 years of experience in the retail world, with a background in product design as well as in-depth knowledge and expertise in the fashion industry from around the globe. He has used this experience to cultivate new relationships with top designers, allowing 6pm.com to offer new in-demand brands but at a price 6pm.com customers appreciate–always 30 to 75 percent off.

“Jay combines an innate sense of style with a clear understanding of what customers want in products and the online retail experience,” said Kristen Whiteley, 6pm.com senior brand marketing manager. “We are excited for him to bring his passion for style directly to our customers and help them Score on the Style and Score on the Price.”

As senior style advisor for 6pm.com, Alexander's mission is to make name-brand styles accessible to everyone and to help customers discover their personal style – whether it's casual, fast-fashion or athletic. Alexander will bring his recommendations to life with regular, live-chats, style advice, photos and video on Twitter (@shop6pm) Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram using #StyleByJay. He also will attend fashion shows as well as footwear and clothing markets to make the runway trends accessible to customers and will serve as 6pm.com's style spokesperson for TV, radio and print interviews.

For the past four years, Alexander has served as 6pm.com's merchant for designer fashion, contemporary and private label footwear and accessories. Prior to joining 6pm.com, Alexander was a senior women's shoe buyer and women's shoe and handbag buyer for several retailers and high-end boutiques, including Lane Crawford, Pumpz & Co., Target and Tootsies.
