Sports fan apparel brand ’47 hired Steven Monti as VP of design and development, Ryan Cross as VP of merchandising and Brooke Thornton as VP of marketing.

“We are thrilled to welcome Steven, Ryan and Brooke to ’47,” said President Dominic Farrell. “With their fresh perspectives and innovative thinking, combined with our brand’s legacy of product excellence and unwavering commitment to quality, we are poised to further enhance our position in the market and continue the tradition of delivering exceptional products to our loyal consumers.”

Monti joins ’47 from Converse, where he spent 16 years in leadership roles in design, development and product innovation. In his new position, he is responsible for leading ’47’s creative directors in the positioning and aesthetic of each category, creating new products through commercial production.

Cross joins ’47 from Goat Group, the sneaker and fashion marketplace, where he led business development. He also worked at Puma, where he was the VP of global basketball and was part of the relaunch of the company’s basketball category. At ’47, he is responsible for leading and creating the architecture of the brand’s line, market strategy, global range, and overall merchandising process.

Thornton joins ’47 with experience in culture marketing, including leadership roles at Red Bull and marketing agencies Nue and Translation. In her new role, she is responsible for growing brand awareness and positioning ’47 in sports, fashion and culture. The company has several new partnerships and collaborations with brands and leagues, including Kith, Rowing Blazers, Diet Starts Monday, and NASCAR.

’47 said global market expansion continues this year with a recent pop-up in London, an upcoming store opening in Tokyo (its third in Japan) and increased licensing across various leagues and teams.
