TSG Consumer Partners, a private equity firm investing in the active lifestyle space, announced the expansion of its portfolio operations group, TSG Vantage, with the appointment of Dori Konig as head of TSG Vantage, effective August 5, 2024.

Vantage supports TSG partner companies with strategic and operational services, focusing on branding, digital transformation and marketing strategy. A dedicated Consumer Insights team enhances the company’s focus areas, “fueling data-driven decision-making to ensure that TSG’s partner companies address the end consumer’s wants and needs.” The Vantage team’s blue-chip companies include Walmart, Sephora, and Uber, which “help drive sustainable growth and margin enhancement across TSG’s portfolio.”

Konig brings over 20 years of finance, strategy, and operating experience to the role. Most recently, he was the managing director at global investment firm Platinum Equity, where he led the company’s East Coast Operations.

Konig partners with C-suite executives to design and execute transformational programs. He has worked with “dozens of companies to optimize and enhance business strategy, operations and talent to drive change and produce tangible results.” At TSG, in addition to working with partner companies and executives, Konig will lead the Vantage group and further build out the team to offer “additional value-creation services to TSG partner companies.”

“Dori’s addition to Vantage underscores our commitment to bringing thoughtful, innovative solutions to TSG and its partner companies,” said Hadley Mullin, senior managing director at TSG. “We look forward to deepening and broadening our capabilities under Dori’s leadership. His specialized experience in the space and demonstrated record of execution will help us enhance our strategic counsel and value creation amid a quickly changing business landscape.”

“Since its inception, Vantage has set itself apart as a truly differentiated offering to help consumer brands scale their potential for customers, clients and employees alike,” said Konig. “I am thrilled to work alongside this excellent team, leveraging Vantage’s resources and my expertise to champion groundbreaking digital and operational solutions for TSG partner companies.”

Before joining Platinum Equity in 2013, Konig was a director in Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Restructuring Group, offering advisory services to underperforming and distressed companies. He also worked as an associate in Lehman Brothers’ High Yield Corporate Research Group, later acquired by Barclays.
