24 Hour Fitness, the 40-year-old health and fitness company, reported it will make a multi-million dollar investment in refreshing its clubs to enhance the member experience throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
The company will upgrade four 24 hour fitness clubs with new equipment, new flooring, lighting, and paint, and most will include murals by artist Chris DeLorenzo reflecting the environment and culture of the Bay Area.
“Over the last 12 months, we’ve worked diligently to identify clubs whose performance and attendance represented a new opportunity to better serve our members,” said Karl Sanft, CEO of 24 Hour Fitness. “We want to invest in those clubs not only better to serve our members but to make these gyms stronger resources for an even larger community as they work out, connect, and thrive.”
The first phase of 24 Hour Fitness’ club refresh includes the following four locations: Fremont, which opened March 4; Livermore, which opened March 27; Walnut Creek, which opened April 16; and Hayward, which opened May 3.
Members outside the Bay Area will see more club improvements throughout 2024 and beyond, representing a multi-million dollar investment toward a better experience for members across the Western US. The company will announce more refreshes through 2024/25.
