Patrick Deneen, 2009 World Champion Freestyle Skier, 2008 FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year and 180s ambassador, has been chosen as one of the 'Comcast Local Heroes,' a new marketing campaign featuring a selection of Washington state's most exciting winter athletes. The advertising and integrated marketing campaign benefits some of the state's most inspiring people -, including the athletes of Special Olympics Washington – through sales of a commemorative pin currently available online at www.comcastlocalheroes.com.

“It has been a great honor to be recognized in this group of athletes but also a little overwhelming to see myself in a larger-than-life ad campaign,” Deneen said. “having been born and bred in Washington, this is where I learned to ski and inspired my passion for the sport, so it's really meaningful to me to be a part of something that will support our local athletes, especially our Special Olympians.”

Deneen started his relationship with 180s five years ago and has played a significant role in helping the company develop its latest innovation, the QUANTUM VENT GLOVE, a high-performance ski and board glove that cools overheated hands with a patent pending adjustable venting system.
