Zoot Sports has signed on as the official performance apparel and technical apparel sponsor for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Ironman North American Series.

Founded in Kona, Hawai’i, the home of the Ironman World Championship, Zoot began making performance apparel catering to triathletes, making this sponsorship a natural progression in Zoot’s passion and commitment to helping athletes succeed. The exclusive multi-year partnership will take effect in January 2016 and continue through 2018.

“Zoot Sports is a legacy performance apparel provider that we know can deliver innovative products to our world-class athletes,” said Andrew Messick, chief executive officer for Ironman. “As their commitment to endurance athletes proves, Zoot Sports is a perfect match for Ironman and our community.”

Created in 1983, Zoot has grown to be an international multi-sports brand, distributed in 22 countries, and has introduced the first triathlon-specific footwear line.

“Zoot was born in Kona on Ali’i Drive. Since that day, we’ve been driven to create the most technologically advanced products for triathletes,” says Erik Vervloet, General Manager of Zoot Sports. “The marriage of Ironman and Zoot is a perfect match. There is no better platform for Zoot to tell its story than through the Ironman brand. Since day one, the Ironman athlete has been our inspiration and this allows us to be an even bigger part of their journey.”

This week in The Ironman Village at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Zoot will showcase its new and exciting line of performance and technical apparel including tri tops and bottoms, cycling kits and running apparel. All of Zoot’s sublimated performance gear features Italian fabric for the best in moisture management, comfort and durability. Zoot is committed to covering athletes from start to finish and head to toe.
