Yakima is celebrating its third consecutive year as the official bicycle rack of the USA Pro Challenge professional cycling road race, which is taking place across Colorado from Aug. 19-25, 2013.

As a race partner, Yakima is providing racks for the USA Pro Challenge race support vehicles. Yakima is thrilled to be returning to Colorado and the USA Pro Challenge for a third year. This year’s race promises to be amazing, with the top riders from around the world competing,” said Bobbie Parisi, vice president of brand management at Yakima. “We’re about supporting everyone on their outdoor adventures – from world-class athletes to weekend warriors”.

As the official rack partner, Yakima will equip approximately 40 support vehicles with HighRoller, Viper and ForkLift rooftop bike mounts. Each vehicle will carry up to five bikes. Additionally, the company will have a presence at the race exposition area near the finish line of each stage. Race spectators can learn about Yakima products, enter a free drawing to win $500 in Yakima gear and enter to win a Yakima HoldUp by sharing cycling photos on Instagram and Twitter and tagging #yakimaUSAPro.

The USA Pro Challenge has a history of attracting the world’s top professional cyclists to Colorado, and this year’s race will be headlined by the No. 1 and 2 riders in the world – 2013 Tour de France Champion Chris Froome (GBR) of Sky Procycling and 2013 Tour de France Sprint Jersey Winner Peter Sagan (SLO) of Cannondale Pro Cycling.

The line-up will also include six current national champions – Fred Rodriguez (USA), Hayden Roulsten (NZL), Luis Enrique Lemus (MEX), Michael Olsson (SWE), Michael Schär (SUI) and Peter Sagan (SLO), six former Olympic medalists, and multiple riders who have captured a stage win at the Tour de France.
