Roger Dunn Golf Shops, a privately held company and largest golf specialty retailer on the West Coast, has reopened and remodeled the Edwin Watts Golf Store in Lexington, Kentucky. The company spent many months in renovating the existing structure as well as purchasing and restocking the inventory.

According to Worldwide Golf President, Al Morris, “The reopening of the Lexington Edwin Watts Golf Store is one of the many positive strategies that Worldwide Golf has planned for the recently acquired Edwin Watts Stores.”

This 7,000 square foot Lexington, Kentucky location now features a Full Service Club Repair and carries a complete selection of grips and upgraded shafts. It has been staffed with trained repair specialists who can handle any customer’s need, from loft and lie adjustments to re-gripping and re-shafting any club. “We used our Roger Dunn Superstore in Santa Ana as a model for the implementation of this repair center which is precise and efficient,” added Morris.

In addition to the remodel, the Edwin Watts Golf Store in Lexington has some new amenities such as the two spacious hitting bays with computerized ball flight monitors. They provide state-of-the-art data like launch angle and spin rates which help the customer compare clubs in the purchasing process. A large indoor putting green features a wide variety of branded and boutique putters. The largest asset of the remodeled store is the inventory mix. The Worldwide Golf Purchasing Team stocked the shelves and displays with the latest golf equipment, range finders, golf balls, golf bags, and golf apparel available and ALL guaranteed at the lowest prices. “We believe this store will be highly successful as we have the best golf equipment, best customer service and the best pricing in the Lexington area,” added Morris.

Separately, Worldwide Golf is holding a Four-Day Indoor Golf Expo in each of their five New England based Golfers’ Warehouse Stores to mark the start of golf season. The five stores are located in Hartford, CT., Natick, MA. Braintree, MA., Danvers, MA., and Cranston, RI.

The Four-Day Indoor Golf Expos will be held from Thursday, March 20th through Sunday, March 23rd. Attendees will have an opportunity to test all the new and hot golf clubs for 2014 on their state-of-the-art launch monitors. Manufacturer’s reps will be available at some of the locations to provide information and answer any questions. Every department will feature special deals and deep discounts.

“Our Indoor Golf Expo has traditionally been a very popular event because our customers can demo all the clubs at once and save money too. And, after this winter, New England golfers are itching to get out and play,” commented Mike Britt, Regional Manager for Golfers’ Warehouse.
