Woolrich has hired outdoor industry veteran John DiFonzo as director of men�s merchandising. In this position, DiFonzo will be responsible for directing all merchandising efforts, product development, strategic planning, and operations in men�s apparel.

DiFonzo will report to Lederle Eberhardt, VP of merchandising and design, and will work closely with all business units at Woolrich. 

�We have been looking for someone that possesses the unique combination of an understanding of the history of the outdoor industry and the way the modern consumer shops,� Eberhardt said. �We�re excited to incorporate John�s experience into our current strategy.�

DiFonzo has more than 20 years of industry experience. He was previously vice president and divisional merchandising manager at Sports Authority, senior buyer and merchandise marketing manager at Dick�s Sporting Goods, and buyer and director of operations for Berger�s Ski and Snowboard Specialists. His education includes studies in architectural design and engineering at the State University of New York in Alfred.
