Wolverine World Wide, Inc. appointed Christopher E. Hufnagel to the position of president, retail. Hufnagel will report to James D. Zwiers, senior vice president of Wolverine, and will be responsible for all direct-to-consumer operations for the company, including e-commerce. Hufnagel, 36, was most recently the VP of Retail for Under Armour.


At Under Armour, he was responsible for the development, execution, and roll-out of the Under Armour retail strategy. Prior to joining Under Armour, Hufnagel was VP of Brand Store Experience for the Gap. At Gap, he led the in-store marketing and visual merchandising for the brand. Prior to this, he was with Abercrombie & Fitch in various leadership positions, including having responsibility for in-store brand presentation, marketing, and store operations. Hufnagel also served on the team that developed and launched the Hollister brand in 2000.

“Chris Hufnagel's strategic and operational expertise and extensive experience in brand building and growth at world class retailers will be instrumental in leading the expansion of Wolverine's direct-to-consumer business on a global basis,”said Zwier. 


Hufnagel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alma College in Alma, MI.
