Wolverine World Wide named Kenneth A. Grady as its new general counsel and secretary. Grady is stepping into the role after James D. Zwiers was promoted to president of Hush Puppies U.S. Ken will report directly to Stephen L. Gulis Jr., executive vice president and CFO of the company.
Ken joins Wolverine World Wide having most recently led the firm of K.A. Grady PC in North Andover, Mass. Ken has previously served as General Counsel and Secretary for KB Toys, Inc., held in-house counsel and operational positions at Payless ShoeSource, Inc. and HNI Corporation, and was a partner with the law firm McDermott, Will & Emery.
Commenting on the appointment, Stephen L. Gulis Jr. said, “Ken brings a wide range of valuable experience to Wolverine, having served as both in-house and outside counsel during his career. His varied and extensive international background from both a legal and management perspective makes him uniquely qualified to help the Company take full advantage of the opportunities ahead. Ken will play a lead role in corporate activities, including licensing, acquisitions, litigation, asset protection and operations. I am confident that Ken will serve the Company and its shareholders well.”

Ken holds a Master of Management degree in Finance from Northwestern University. He also received his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University. He is a member of the American Bar Association and belongs to the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, as well as the Association for Corporate Counsel.
