Wolverine World Wide Inc. has hired Martin Shobo as the global product line manager for the Wolverine brand’s Lifestyle and Heritage product categories, where he will oversee  development and strategic direction for the Wolverine 1000 Mile and No. 1883 footwear collections for men and women.

 

Shobo will report to Roger Huard, vice president of product development – Wolverine.

“We are thrilled to have Martin as part of our team,” said Huard. “As we position these key categories for future growth, Martin’s wealth of experience in lifestyle footwear and his enthusiasm for design will be an instrumental part of shaping Wolverine product that is relevant to today’s market while staying true to the brand’s heritage.”

Martin has more than five years of experience in the footwear industry. He was previously with Wolverine Worldwide’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Division as Product Line Manager for both Hush Puppies and Cushe before transitioning fully into the management of Hush Puppies' Men's, Women's and Children's lines. During his time with Hush Puppies, Martin was awarded the Young Manager Award by The Patternmakers (a livery guild) in London, an award that recognizes young talent in the footwear industry. Prior to his move to Wolverine Worldwide, Martin managed apparel product development for Austin Reed Group, working in the International Division with overseas licensed partners in the Unites States, Asia and Russia. In his new role, Martin will continue to be based in Wolverine’s London office.
