Wintersteiger has acquired QBL, a Poland-based provider of storage and drying systems for the sports industry, in a move that expands Wintersteiger’s storage solutions for North American resorts and ski areas.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Adding QBL to our group allows us to provide more integrated storage systems designed specifically for the needs of resorts, ski areas, and other hospitality venues with alpine customer bases,” said Wes Price, Wintersteiger North America. “This expansion will enable us to deliver holistic solutions, from ski and equipment storage to drying, hygiene, and point-of-sale store fittings, that support our customers’ operational efficiency and guest experience.”
Wojciech Śliwka, former owner of QBL and now managing director of the new storage systems division at Wintersteiger, pictured right, said, “The merger with Wintersteiger opens new perspectives for our team and our customers. QBL will continue as a product brand within the portfolio, and we will combine our design and storage systems expertise with Wintersteiger’s technical know-how to develop solutions that deliver real value for resorts and ski areas,” said
The deal takes effect in the U.S. and Canada on January 1, 2027.
