Wilson Sporting Goods Co. named Nick Gonzales global marketing director and Tim Buwick as promotions director for its Raquet Sports division.

In his new role at Wilson Sporting Goods Co., Gonzales will be responsible for shaping the consumer communication and engagement strategy spanning all Racquet Sport product categories and key business drivers.  Gonzales brings a wealth of brand and shopper marketing experience, having spent the last eight years at Unilever, where he managed brands such as AXE and Degree/Rexona.

As U.S. promotions director for Racquet Sports, Buwick will lead, develop, and execute grassroots strategies and promotional activities to drive Wilson brand awareness and consumer demand in the marketplace.  Buwick has spent the last 25 years as a territory manager for Wilson in Racquet Sports.

“Wilson is the global leader in Racquet Sports and these two hires will help build upon our leadership position,” said Mike Dowse, president of Wilson Sporting Goods Co. “It is an exciting time at Wilson as we enter our second century in business and embrace technology in equipment, a re-launch of the brand, and a continued commitment to groundbreaking research and development.”

Earlier this summer, Wilson named Hans-Martin Reh as its new General Manager, Racquet Sports, returning to the company after a 17-year absence. Reh is set to officially join the team at the end of August.
