Wilson Sporting Goods Co. launched two new equipment customization platforms for Wilson Ball Gloves and DeMarini Bats. Each offering, which provides an enhanced and socially-sharable user experience on a mobile-friendly website, allows baseball and softball players to personalize high performance gloves and bats to their own specifications.

“We understand that ball players view their gloves and bats as extensions of themselves as athletes and individuals,” said Jim Hackett, General Manager of Baseball/Softball at Wilson Sporting Goods Co. “For years, we’ve worked closely with professional players to create the highest performing, highest quality products that also reflect their individual personalities. With these two new websites, we can now bring that same offering to athletes everywhere and push baseball and softball equipment offerings into new territories.”

For more than three years, Wilson, the Official Ball Glove of Major League Baseball (MLB), has led the way in allowing players of all ages to customize their gloves, using the same models and design options available to professional MLB players. The updated platform now allows players to customize the premiere Wilson A2K glove series and the Wilson A2000 Glove series, along with a new user experience and new personalization options.

The company’s customization efforts are also expanding to include high performance bats from its DeMarini brand. DeMarini is introducing the first and most robust, fully customized Baseball, Fastpitch and Slowpitch performance bat site available to consumers today.  The new DeMarini platform, which includes the brand’s top Baseball, Slowpitch Softball, and Fastpitch Softball models (coming April 2015), allows athletes to customize bats from top to bottom to create a bat that is uniquely their own and truly one-of-a-kind. DeMarini is the first brand to offer custom bats directly to consumers, offering distinct personalization of the most popular performance bats in the world.

In addition, the two new platforms allow consumers to “share each custom masterpiece” with family, friends and teammates via email and social media channels.
