Wilderness Systems is proud to be sponsoring several fishing events and tournaments in 2015 that benefit Heroes on the Water, an organization that works with American soldiers, providing opportunities for them to discover and have access to the joys of paddling and fishing.

Heroes on the Water helps America’s wounded, injured or disabled warriors and veterans discover a therapeutic way to decompress from physical and mental stresses while finding strength and relaxation through kayak fishing. The programs are tailored to accommodate all experience levels, and participants will have access to a full range of adaptive kayaks, kayaking accessories and angling equipment. Heroes on the Water programs are set up to give warriors and veterans the skills, confidence and experience they need in order to enjoy a day or a lifetime of kayak fishing.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to give something back to our veterans who already gave so much on our behalf,” said Evan Lyendecker, marketing manager for Wilderness Systems. “Heroes on the Water is an incredible organization because it gives participants a memorable day out on the water, introduces them to a community of people who understand and share their experiences, and gives them the tools they need to make kayak fishing a part of their long-term rehabilitation.”

In 2015 Wilderness Systems is sponsoring six tournaments that benefit Heroes on the Water, the Jamaica Bay Fishing Classic, Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic , YakAttack Tournament, Casting for a Cause, Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association (TKAA) Tournament, KBF Texas Open. Wilderness Systems will be present at the events with its innovative angling kayaks including the ATAK, Thresher and Ride MAX.
