Whitewater Fishing’s Great Lakes Pro Jacket and Bib extreme weather raingear, when properly layered for warmth, provides waterproof, windproof and protection while angling on the hardwater.
Nexus Outdoors and Whitewater Fishing president, Aaron Ambur, states, “We tested sample after sample of the Great Lakes Pro with real anglers and our pro staff to get it right. They’d provide feedback, and we’d make tweaks. In fact, the final design was tested on the water for 60 days before we were convinced it was perfect. The suit is manufactured using Whitewater’s proprietary three-layer design, which includes an exterior fabric, laminate, and a light internal fabric layer, resulting in a 20k waterproof rating, meaning the fabric can endure 20,000 mm (ANSI standards) of water before moisture gets through. The fabric is also windproof.
The Great Lakes Pro is also breathable with a rating of 30,000g/m², allowing moisture to escape while keeping wind and water out.
The functional design offers maximum mobility without sacrificing durability, due to the Great Lakes Pro’s poly/spandex 4-way stretch shell. Precision fabric cuts work in concert with the 4-way stretch fabric to enhance range of motion; every cut is stitched and taped for waterproofness and durability.
