The Drexel lacrosse team signed an exclusive three-year deal with Warrior Sports. The deal was announced by the Drexel Athletics Department.

Warrior, the industry leader in manufacturing lacrosse gear, will be the official equipment supplier of Drexel lacrosse. The team will use the latest Warrior sticks, handles, footwear, helmets and protective equipment as part of the agreement.

“We are excited to join in this partnership with Warrior,” said Drexel Head Coach Brian Voelker. “Warrior provides top-of-the-line equipment and its brand is the industry leader. Warrior outfits some of the top schools in the sport of lacrosse and we are proud to join this elite group.”

“We couldn't be more excited to extend our partnership with Drexel University and Coach Brian Voelker. Brian is a true player's coach and great recruiter and has the program going in a really positive direction,” said Mark Millon, Director of Sports Marketing at Warrior. “We will work closely with Brian, his staff, and his players on product development and to ensure the team has the best product to enable them to be successful.”

Drexel finished the 2010 season ranked 13th in the USILA Coaches Poll. The Dragons were 10-5 a year ago and posted four wins over teams ranked in the top 10 nationally, including an overtime victory against Notre Dame at Vidas Field.
