The Warnaco Group, Inc. announced a new organizational structure designed to support its international businesses.

As previously reported, Warnaco entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Calvin Klein jeans and accessories businesses in Europe and Asia and the CK “bridge” sportswear and accessories business in Europe. Following the closing of the acquisition, Frank Tworecke, Group President, Sportswear, will assume responsibility for all of the acquired businesses, as a result of which Tworecke will oversee the Calvin Klein jeans brand worldwide. Tworecke will continue to have responsibility for the Chaps brand.

Helen McCluskey, Group President Intimate Apparel, will add to her portfolio global responsibility for the Calvin Klein Underwear brand. McCluskey will continue to have responsibility for all of Warnaco's other intimate apparel brands.

Roger Williams will continue to head the Warnaco Swimwear Group, including Speedo, Ocean Pacific and Designer swimwear.

Stanley Silverstein is appointed Executive Vice President, International Strategy and Business Development. In this new role, he will focus on implementing the optimal business and organizational structure for all of Warnaco's interests outside of the United States and for identifying additional opportunities for growth globally.

Joe Gromek, Warnaco's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We believe that this new structure positions us to maximize the potential of all of our brands globally. We will centralize the management of product design and development and adopt a more country-specific approach outside the United States — either by developing our own organization or working with the best partners in each geography. This is an important step for us in building the global infrastructure we need to support our growing businesses.”
