Dick’s Sporting Goods said longtime independent director Walter Rossi will leave its board of directors in June.
In an SEC filing, Dick’s (NYSE: DKS) said Rossi will not be up for re-election at the Findlay Township retailer’s annual meeting June 5. It gave no reason for Rossi’s departure. Rossi was a Class B director of Dick’s whose term expired at the 2013 annual meeting, and a member of the board’s audit committee.
Rossi has been a director of Dick’s since 1993 and is past chairman and CEO of Mervyn’s and past chairman of the PVH Corp. retail group.
There are eight members of the Dick’s Sporting Goods board of directors.
