Walmart announced in a media release that it entered a new partnership with New York-based, Stadium Goods,  offer exclusive sneaker styles, including Air Jordans and Air Force 1s, on its third-party Marketplace platform. This follows a similar partnership the retail giant reached last year with StockX.

“Our customers trust Walmart to deliver not only everyday essentials, but also the latest and most in-demand products, including premium-brand sneakers,” said  Manish Joneja, senior vice president of Walmart Marketplace and Walmart Fulfillment Services, in a blog entry.

Joneja continued, “And this is just the beginning. The Walmart Marketplace launch of Stadium Goods is part of our broader commitment to offer customers more of the brands they want — whether they’re collectors, trendsetters, or families like mine. We’re proud to now offer one of the largest selections of premium sneakers anywhere, right at your fingertips.”

At launch, Walmart Stadium Goods platform is offering Nike, Jordan, Asics, Ugg, Puma, Onitsuka Tiger, Reebok, On, New Balance, Vans, Hellstar, Saucony, Supreme, Timberland, Hoka, and Air Jordan.

Stadium Goods operates on a consignment model, where it authenticates items from sellers before they are sold to customers, and also carries its own apparel lines. Stadium Goods was founded in 2015 and became part of Farfetch in 2019, while also expanding to partner with other retailers, including Walmart Marketplace
