Georgia May Jagger will promote Volcom Women’s apparel globally.

“We felt that partnering with Georgia was an obvious choice,” the company wrote in a June 2 post on its blog. “She so completely represents our lifestyle – her energy, independence and confidence aligns perfectly with what Volcom Women’s stands for.

“We don’t necessarily have to be a brand that is a surf brand or skate brand. I think it works in Cities too and for girls like me,” Jagger is quoted as saying.

Jagger is daughter of Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger and Model Jerry Hall.

“Georgia’s role will bring more global awareness to Volcom Women’s, and also prove that a girl doesn’t have to be a surfer to wear Volcom,” reads the post.

Founded in 1991 in California, Volcom is a unit of Kering (NYSE Euronext:KER:PA), which also owns the Puma, Cobra, Electric and Tretorn brands.
