VF Corporation shuffled the deck in the executive suite last week, moving around the deck chairs in efforts to match up their business units under umbrellas that make sense. The Outdoor Coalition, which includes the Eastpak, Jansport and The North Face brands, has been the darling in the company of late. The other high expectations for VFC have been coming out of the newly-acquired Nautica brand, which sits under the newly-formed Sportswear Coalition.

The two groups will now sit under one head as Eric Wiseman, currently VP and chairman – Global Intimates and Sportswear Coalitions, was named VP and chairman – Outdoor and Sportswear Coalitions.

The Outdoor group had been coupled with International Jeanswear under Terry Lay, who will now take over responsibility for all VF jeanswear operations worldwide as VP and chairman – Jeanswear Coalition. Lay will now be responsible for “more than half” of VFC’s total sales as he consolidates operations in the $2.7 billion global jeanswear businesses.

George Derhofer, currently VP and chairman of the Imagewear Coalition, will add VFC's global intimate apparel businesses to his responsibilities.
