Corey Stecker has elected to depart VF Corp. after 18 years. Most recently, he was the managing director of Altra, Smartwool and Icebreaker in Canada. He announced his exit on LinkedIn.
Prior to his last role, which began in May 2023, Stecker was the global head of sales at Smartwool for 7 years. Other roles he held while working at VF include International General Manager, EMEA and Canada; Director of Sales and Marketing, Canada; and key account Sales and Marketing Director for The North Face.
In the LinkedIn post, Stecker thanks his colleagues at The North Face, Smartwool, Icebreaker, and Altra, while highlighting the accomplishments he achieved and the experiences he enjoyed during his time at VF.
Stecker concluded, “Leaving a place known as home for so long is never an easy decision. Never Stop Exploring, go far feel good, and Stay out There have been more than just taglines – but words to live by. As I let go from this trapeze bar and reach for the next, I’m going to savor this brief moment of weightlessness. While I will take a few weeks off to decompress and lose myself temporarily out on the trails to recharge, a new adventure awaits just down the road, and it’s going to be a great one.
