VAUDE has made two new executive appointments. Stefan Engers, former Marketing Manager, has become the new
Technology Manager while Antje von Dewitz, designated CEO, has taken over as Marketing Manager.
“Leadership through Technology” – for years the mountain sports gear
manufacturer VAUDE has been consolidating its leading position in the
Outdoor Market by consistently implementing this brand statement.

Seasoned experience in the market, professional know-how,
comprehensive research and development in textile processing technology,
quality control at its own on-site laboratory and last but not least, a love of
mountain sports has made VAUDE a think tank of the highest technical
calibre. Countless prizes and awards throughout all product segments
attest to VAUDE’s success.
VAUDE’s Tettnang employees want to continue to expand upon their
technical leadership brand-claim.

Stefan Engers, mechanical engineer and
Marketing Manager at VAUDE since 1988, is taking over the position of Technology Manager, effective immediately. With ground breaking
developments, he has repeatedly taken on joint responsibility for numerous
product innovations like the introduction of the ECOLOG recycling network,
VAUDE Dry Jeans, the first fit-for-outdoor jeans, the legendary Mark tent
series’ construction, and VAUDE’s latest development, “Ultra Seam Tech” –
a method of seamless workmanship that VAUDE will bring to the market in
2006.

With this new orientation in personnel, VAUDE reveals its technical
leadership brand-claim and indicates clearly its willingness to continue
investment in the area of research and development.
Leadership in the Marketing Department will be taken over by the
designated CEO, Antje von Dewitz. She has been working in various
departments in the company since 1998. She built up the currently
independent and very successful product range Packs’n Bags, founded the
VAUDE Childcare Centre and manages the PR, Media Planning and
Internet departments.

This month she’s finishing her doctorate in Business
Administration from the University of Hohenheim. Under her leadership, the
Marketing Department should be strengthened with its direct link to
VAUDE’s business management. Continual brand expansion and image
building of the VAUDE mountain sports brand, standing for excellence in
mountain sports competence as well as innovative and top-quality
products, should be ensured. VAUDE’s power of innovation and technical
leadership will stand in the foreground for all marketing activity in the future.
