Vasque renewed its partnership with FloydFest for its 13th annual music and outdoor adventure festival along the Blue Ridge Parkway near Floyd, VA, July 23 27. This year’s theme is Revolutionary and Vasque is asking attendees to Find Out What’s Within by digging deep at the 2nd annual Vasque 5K Trail Race and by stopping in the Vasque booth to find out their spirit animal.
FloydFest combines the best of music and outdoors by offering something for everyone whether it is enjoying musical headliners such as Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Ray LaMontagne, Ziggy Marley and Michael Franti and Spearhead, or channeling a sense of adventure and hitting the local trails for hiking, mountain biking, disc golf or a trail run.
“FloydFest has a great outdoor vibe that our tribe enjoys,” says Julie Quinn, Vasque’s Marketing Manager. “It’s cool to have camping, music, art, and great food and people in a beautiful setting perfect for trail running, hiking and mountain biking.”
FloydFest attendees can enter to win a deluxe hiking package from outdoor industry brands Vasque, Osprey, NEMO Equipment, Darn Tough and Leki when they take the Spirit Animal Quiz in the Vasque booth on Thursday and Friday from 1 4 pm and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. noon. In addition, hungry festival-goers will once again be treated to a free Vasque Pancake Breakfast at the Vasque booth on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
On Sunday, those who enjoy a little healthy competition can enter the Vasque 5K Trail Run. For the second year in a row, the first three male and three female finishers will win a pair of Vasque Pendulum, a lightweight, breathable trail runner with a full mesh upper.
