Varsity Brands, a platform for team sports and spirit solutions through its divisions BSN Sports and Varsity Spirit, has hired Satish Mehta to the newly created role of chief technology and product officer, responsible for leading product and technology strategy, building digital platforms, data-driven experiences, and secure systems that scale across Varsity Brands’ enterprise. His teams will also focus. on products that “simplify how teams, coaches, athletes, and employees engage with a wide range of technology-driven offerings.”

Mehta brings 20-plus years of experience leading large-scale technology, data and digital transformation initiatives for global consumer and B2B organizations. Most recently, as chief technology officer at Chewy, he “scaled the company from startup to a multi-billion-dollar e-commerce leader, transforming its technology architecture, expanding engineering and data teams and advancing cloud, AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems capabilities.”
Prior to Chewy, Mehta held senior technology leadership roles at UnitedHealth Group, Staples, and Yahoo!, leading enterprise-wide digital initiatives. He also served on the Board of Directors of Express, Inc., where he supported technology strategy and organizational transformation.
