The Family Circle Cup, one of twenty Sony Ericsson WTA Tour Premier Events, has selected Vapor Apparel to manufacture and design their 2010 apparel for this year’s tournament, Lacoste has been the sponsor.

The organizers said Vapor Apparel’s unique options for customizing the event apparel, their commitment to sustainability, and the proximity of their North Charleston corporate headquarters were all major factors in the selection process.  The Family Circle Cup, celebrating its 10th year in Charleston and 38th year on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, is scheduled April 10-18, 2010 at the Family Circle Tennis Center in historic Charleston, South Carolina.

“We wanted to keep the business here in the Charleston area,” says Bob Moran, General Manager, Family Circle Cup. “There are not many performance apparel brands that can offer Vapors level of customization or their commitment to the environment. The fact they were in our back yard was also a surprise.”

Vapor Apparel, now entering its sixth year of operation, is headquartered at the Navy Yard in North Charleston. The brand’s commitment to eco-friendly digital print technologies further strengthens their position in the North American marketplace.
