Vans will take ownership of its distribution in key Scandinavian markets to reinforce its presence and impact across the region. The brand will fully own its distribution in Sweden and Denmark starting with the Fall 2012 product lines, including footwear, apparel, accessories, snow outerwear and snowboard boots. Norway and Finland will continue with their current distribution set up.
To support going direct in Scandinavia, Vans will open a showroom and subsidiary office in Gothenburg in May. A showroom will open in Copenhagen as well.
Marketing Coordinator Marie Ossiander and sales person Martin Gustafsson will join Country Manager Andreas Olsson to drive the brand in the two countries. Former Swedish Vans Distributor Szamer Sport will continue to be responsible for Spring/Summer 12. In Denmark, Bjorn Soderberg will join the Vans & Pro-tec team from Bonito Distribution and will be the main contact for all sales related inquiries.
