V1 Sports, creator of the golf swing analysis software for teaching pros and golfers, recently hired Chris McGinley as chief revenue officer and new director of software engineering Michael Boumansour.

McGinley brings more than 30 years of golf industry experience that includes 21 years at Titleist, where he built product lines under the Titleist, Vokey Design and Scotty Cameron brands. This is McGinley’s second stint at V1 Sports. As interim CEO in 2017, he helped transition the company to new investors and management team, stabilizing the organization.

Boumansour comes to V1 Sports from New York City, where he helped bridge the gap between business operations and technology for the New York Times and Warner Music.

“We’re excited to welcome Chris McGinley back full time,” said Bryan Finnerty, CEO, V1 Sports. “He is a well-known product expert with extensive experience presenting the benefits of technology to the world’s best pros and top amateurs. I can’t think of anyone else who fits as well in this role at V1. Likewise, Michael Boumansour brings a wealth of software engineering experience to our company, in a variety of industries, including automotive, music, and e-commerce. We’re extremely excited to add him to our team, as we believe he shares our core values, complements the skills we already have in the development team, and is a big believer in our process. He is a huge addition to advancing our V1 software, systems and services.”

Boumansour said, “In my 30 years of experience with software development, I’ve learned that no matter what a company has achieved, we can raise the bar even further and, in most cases, significantly further,” he saif. “There are some great opportunities at V1 to unify the technology platforms and tools across the various software products that will allow us to be more productive and agile.”

“V1 strives to be the leader in being the connective tissue that unites golfers with improvement,” said McGinley. “Our goal is to tie together product, marketing and sales to enhance the V1 brand and the experience that our customers have with us. If we do that right, the company succeeds from the standpoint of our investors, associates and customers. We have a really exciting product roadmap that has taken shape, which will combine our expertise in swing data, game data and stats, along with new ways to collect and use data as you learn, play or practice. That, in turn, will allow V1 to further stand apart in the marketplace.”
