Al’s Sporting Goods plans to close its location in Boise, ID. The outdoor retailer will continue to operate three stores in Utah in Logan, Orem and St. George and one in Idaho in Idaho Falls.

It also operates three locations in Montana under the Bob Ward’s banner in Bozeman, Hamilton and Missoula.

The Boise location opened in 2023, taking over the 43,000-square-foot space next to Barnes & Noble near Boise Towne Square Mall at 1301 N Milwaukee Street. The space was formerly occupied by Altitude Trampoline Park. Tenants previously included a Sports Authority and Gart Sports.

“We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to serve the Treasure Valley community. We appreciate the support of our customers, community partners, and local leaders. Most importantly, we want to recognize the dedication of our Boise employees, whose commitment to serving our customers has been exceptional,” VP of store operations Osten Rasmussen said in a media statement. “Our priority is supporting our team throughout this transition while continuing to provide outstanding service to our customers through our final day of operation.”

The location is currently holding clearance sales with a closing date set for October 17..
