United Sports Technologies (UST) has promoted Robb Schikner as its new VP of engineering design and technical sales. Schikner has more than 17 years of golf shaft design expertise and previously served as USTs director of engineering design and technical sales and supervised various aspects of product design and testing, material selection, and tour development activities.
“Since joining UST, Robb has shown strong leadership and done an outstanding job in helping to develop innovative new products, and he has also been responsible for maintaining and expanding our business with club manufacturers,” said Gene Simpson, SVP of sales and marketing for UST brands. “Im confident Robbs continued leadership of our engineering and technical team will remain at the forefront of a global, competitive shaft market.”
Schikner earned a masters degree in engineering from Clemson University. Prior to joining UST, Schikner served in a similar senior-level position with a San Diego-based golf shaft company, where he was responsible for technical sales, engineering, product marketing and manufacturing. He currently lives in Fort Worth with wife and two daughters.
