McDavid, Inc. signed Monday an endorsement deal with snowboader Nick Baumgartner, who will represent the US in Vancouver for the winter games later this month. Baumgartner will wear McDavid’s newest line of HexPad protective apparel during the games, which kick off on Feb. 12. Baumgartner is the first snowboarder to officially represent McDavid in competition.
Baumgartner wore HexPad protective apparel during last month’s World Cup event and Winter X games, but made his endorsement official Feb. 1. The line, which was developed specifically for snow sports, features HexPad technology in regions of the body that get the most beating, like the tailbone, hips, thighs, knees and spine.

Baumgartner joins a team of professional athletes including the NBA’s Dwayne Wade and Cory Maggette, the NFL’s Knowshon Moreno, professional lacrosse player Ryan Boyle, and many others who wear HexPad protection during practices and games/competitions.
