The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation announced Thursday the addition of seven new members to its Board of Trustees. The new Trustees are John Bloomberg, Craig T. Brown, Kenneth Gart, Bing Gordon, Scot Jarvis, Dennis Keller and Daniel E. Waters. This addition brings the Board to its maximum total of 60.

“Undoubtedly we have the most enthusiastic board and an energized nominating committee which did a great job identifying individuals with a great level of interest in supporting our Team on its path to be Best in the World in 2006,” said Trisha Worthington, Foundation vice president. The seven new members joining the Board of Trustees are:

  • John Bloomberg – A skier himself, Bloomberg was the 2001 U.S. Masters
    super G national champion and 2002 NASTAR national champ. He is a
    graduate of Amherst and Harvard Business School, and spent 20 years in
    the New York financial world. Bloomberg was a founder and board
    member of Ballard Medical Products in Salt Lake City, and in 1993
    founded Bricoleur Partners in San Diego, a $1.1 billion hedge fund
    where he was senior partner and chairman of the board until his
    retirement in 1999. Currently he is a board member for the John Moran
    Eye Center, home of the Bloomberg library. He and his wife Toni
    divide their time between Park City and La Jolla, Calif.

  • Craig D. Brown – For the past 23 years, Brown has been a key
    participant in the globalization of the advertising industry, most
    recently as president and COO of Bcom3 Group, an advertising and
    communications services holding company. A Michigan State graduate
    and a certified public accountant, Brown recently founded Keelers
    Ridge Associates, a private equity and consulting firm. As an
    advocate for young people, he serves on the boards of directors of the
    Partnership for a Drug-Free America and the MSU Foundation and was
    formerly the National Board Chairman for “Just Say No, International.”
    Brown lives with his wife Vicki and three children in Wilton, Conn.

  • Kenneth Gart – Since graduating from Stanford Graduate School of
    Business in 1982, Gart has spent the bulk of his career in the
    sporting goods industry. From 1983 to 1992, he served as president of
    Gart Bros. Sporting Goods Company in Denver, CO. Since 1992 Gart has
    been president of Specialty Sports, Inc., which operates over
    100 specialty ski and outdoor shops primarily in Colorado. Gart is
    involved in several civic organizations in Colorado, serving on the
    board of directors for the Colorado Conservation Trust, Denver Area
    Council Boy Scouts of America and Telluride Foundation. He received
    his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College.

  • Bing Gordon – As co-founder of Electronic Arts, a leading independent
    developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software for
    personal computers and advanced entertainment systems, Bing Gordon is
    considered one of the most experienced entertainment software
    marketing executives in the industry. Gordon currently serves as
    chief creative officer and executive vice president of EA, and plays a
    key role in providing counsel to marketing and development teams as
    well as studio producers to ensure EA's games are the most creative
    and innovative on the market. Gordon is a graduate of Yale University
    and holds a masters from Stanford. He lives in Redwood City, Calif.

  • Scot Jarvis – Skiing has been in Scot Jarvis' blood since he was a
    toddler learning to ski at Crystal Mtn., Wash. He even taught skiing
    at Jack Nagel Ski School from 1976-'80 while attending college at the
    University of Washington. Jarvis is the co-founder and member of
    Cedar Grove Partners, LLC, a private investment company, and Cedar
    Grove Investments, LLC. He also is co-founder and chairman of
    Slingshot Sports, LLC, a kite board company. Prior to founding his
    current businesses, Jarvis was vice president of acquisitions and
    development for McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. Jarvis lives with
    his wife Kristen and their three children in Sammamish, Wash.

  • Dennis Keller – As chairman and co-chief executive officer of DeVry
    Inc., Keller is deeply involved in education. DeVry Inc. serves more
    than 96,000 students in 45 countries with associate, baccalaureate,
    master and doctoral degree programs and professional certification
    exam preparation. Keller also co-founded Keller Graduate School of
    Management in 1973, and is a member of the board of trustees for
    Princeton University (his alma mater, where he was a National Merit
    Scholar) and the University of Chicago (where he received his master's
    in business administration as a Graduate School of Business Fellow).
    Keller, who with his wife Connie lives in Oak Brook, Ill., and has
    three sons and two grandchildren.

  • Daniel E. Waters – Currently a partner at FrontPoint Partners, a hedge
    fund management firm, Daniel E. Waters has worked in the financial
    sector for the majority of his career. Previously, Waters spent
    10 years at Morgan Stanley as managing director and head of the wealth
    management services and client strategy group. Before starting with
    Morgan Stanley, he was vice president of sales and marketing for UNUM
    Corporation in New York City. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and
    Harvard Business School, where he currently participates in alumni
    fundraising. He lives with his wife Victoria and their three children
    in Greenwich, Conn.
