ICSC’s 2025 Post-Thanksgiving Weekend Survey found that 152 million consumers visited shopping centers during the four-day shopping weekend, with 9 in 10 Gen Z consumers spending time in shopping centers. The survey further found that 84 percent of consumers shopped in-store or used in-store pickup, an increase of 6 percentage points from 2024.

NRF Reports Record Number of Shoppers Over Thanksgiving Weekend; Beats Expectations
Black Friday remained the top shopping day for both in-store and online, but but NRF said shoppers ramped up their activity over the weekend. Saturday had flat year-over-year in-store activity but saw an additional 10 million online shoppers compared to Saturday last year. The Sunday after Thanksgiving saw a surge in the number of shoppers in-store while the number of online shoppers declined year-over-year.

Adobe Analytics Sees Online Cyber Monday Sales Climb 7 Percent
Consumers spent a total of $14.25 billion online on Cyber Monday, up 7.1 percent YoY, topping Adobe’s initial projection of $14.2 billion, up 6.3 percent YoY. Sales of apparel grew 5.2 percent while sporting goods gained 6.0 percent on the day.
