A student enrolled at University of North Carolina – Charlotte died Saturday in an accident while hiking at Stone Mountain State Park in North Carolina.
Park rangers found Jordan Slusher, 21, at the base of Stone Mountain, which straddles Wilkes and Alleghany counties. Slusher had been with two friends while hiking and went missing around noon Saturday, according to a spokesman for the N.C. Division of Parks and Recreation. His body was found about 4:30 p.m. and on Monday a coroner ruled cause of death as an accident.
