Under Armour Inc. has inked a deal to sponsor the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix event.

The inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix, part of the 2011 IndyCar Series season, has been scheduled for Labor Day weekend on September 2–4, 2011 and will be contested on a temporary street circuit around the Inner Harbor area of downtown Baltimore.

According to the Baltimore Business Journal, Under Armour will gain branding rights on the track and Grand Prix executives, staffers and volunteers will wear shirts bearing Under Armour's name during the weekend. It also signed up for a suite at the Grand Prix's VIP balcony, where it will entertain employees and clients.

Under Armour confirmed its sponsorship of the IndyCar races through Inner Harbor streets by email, but declined to comment.
