Canada Snowboard appointed Under Armour as the new national team partner through 2015, making the athletic performance brand the official outfitter of the Canadian National Snowboard Team. Under Armour will supply the team with state-of-the-art competition and training gear as well as off the mountain apparel, footwear and accessories over the next four years.

Additionally, Canada's Snowboard team will compete in Under Armour's gear at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in all snowboard disciplines, including the newest and much anticipated, Slopestyle discipline.

Under Armour was worn by snowboarders competing at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck Austria last week. Known as a leader in sports performance innovation, Under Armour will provide the Canadian National Snowboard Team with the latest technology including ArmourBite performance mouthwear, the Under Armour Recharge recovery suit, and the cutting-edge E39 shirt that measures heart rate, breathing rate and acceleration. As part of the partnership, Under Armour will support Canada Snowboard's grass roots programs including RBC Riders and Women in Snowboarding.

“Under Armour's dedication to high performance and athletic excellence is a perfect fit for our organization,” said Steven Hills, Executive Director of Canada Snowboard. “From jackets to training gear and everything in between the partnership provides the training tools we need to excel. Under Armour's outstanding product and their ability to promote our elite athletes and the sport of snowboarding were key factors for Canada Snowboard.”

“The support of Under Armour is huge,” said Bob Joncas, Canada Snowboard's High Performance Director. “Our athletes and coaches are impressed with Under Armour's commitment to the team and are stoked to wear the Under Armour product. We look forward to working with their product team to create a new line of snowboard wear that is second to none.”

“Under Armour is all about innovation and discovering the next great product to make athletes better,” said Matt Shearer, Under Armour Vice President, Americas. “Partnering with the Canadian National Snowboard team provides us the opportunity to develop and test progressive gear for a cutting-edge team and sport.”
