Under Armour announced a multi-year extension of its partnership with Buster Posey.

The company first started working with Posey the day he turned a professional player in 2008. Since his MLB debut, Buster’s list of accomplishments is nothing short of remarkable. Buster is only the second player ever to win Rookie of the Year, National League MVP and three World Series titles, and the first to receive these honors collectively before the age of 28.  In addition to being one of three catchers in history to catch three no-hitters and win three World Series titles, he is also a three-time All-Star, three-time Silver Slugger and the National League Batting Champion.

“Buster is everything a team could ask for in a model baseball player, and Under Armour is proud to be his long-term partner,” said Ryan Kuehl, VP of Global Category Sports Marketing at Under Armour. “His accomplishments speak for themselves, and Buster’s humility, hunger and never-ending focus on being a better athlete and teammate every day are the values Under Armour was built on; we’re excited to see what he does next.”

Posey will continue to play a central role for the brand through wear of Under Armour baseball gear on field and in training, and supporting key initiatives including Under Armour’s Connected Fitness™ and MLB licensed apparel platforms. As part of the renewed partnership, Posey will also be the face of Under Armour’s exclusive baseball collection in collaboration with Dick’s Sporting Goods.

“Under Armour has been by my side through the last seven incredible years, and I can’t wait to see what comes next,” said Posey. “I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with Under Armour well into the future as we build on our shared commitment to performance and innovation by delivering great things to fans and aspiring athletes worldwide.”

Posey’s partnership extension with Under Armour follows on the heels of the extension announced with the Washington National’s Bryce Harper earlier this month, and continues to build on an incredibly diverse and successful family of brand athletes, including: Stephen Curry, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Jordan Spieth, Clayton Kershaw, Lindsey Vonn and more.
