IMG Academies announced a deal for Under Armour to become the official apparel and shoe provider to the IMG Soccer Academy.

Already the official apparel provider to the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy, IMG Madden Football, IMG Performance Institute, and IMG Baseball, IMG Basketball, and IMG Lacrosse academies, Under Armour will outfit all IMG Soccer Academy boys' and girls' youth teams and the Premier Development League team.

“The IMG Soccer Academy is always striving for improvement, and Under Armour will undoubtedly help our players and teams reach their goals,” said Tom Durkin, Director of the IMG Soccer Academy. “We are honored to be outfitted by one of the industry's most innovative companies, and we will continue to represent one of the nation's elite soccer programs.”

The IMG Bradenton Academics, a team that consists of mostly college-aged players and participates in the United Soccer League's PDL, already wears Under Armour apparel. The IMG Soccer Academy's U-18 team will debut its kits at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy League playoffs in late June in North Carolina.

“As part of our mission to make all athletes better, Under Armour continues to support the explosive growth of soccer at all levels, and we want to ensure that dedicated athletes have access to apparel that will help them elevate their game,” said Matt Mirchin, Under Armour, Senior Vice President, Sports Marketing. “The IMG Soccer Academy has a distinguished history of producing elite players and teams, and Under Armour is extremely excited to partner with such a storied program.”

Currently, an estimated 30,000-plus youth, high school and college soccer players wear Under Armour in only the company's third year of producing soccer apparel.

One of the nation's top soccer clubs, the IMG Soccer Academy's boys' U-18 team won the prestigious Dallas Cup in 2005 and 2007, and finished 3rd nationally in last year's Academy League. With six boys' and five girls' teams in various youth age groups, the IMG Soccer Academy has produced countless collegiate and professional players since opening in 1998.
