Ultimate Direction, a manufacturer of high-performance hydration systems will unveil its 2006 line at Outdoor
Retailer Summer Market, August 11-14, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

With its revolutionary Kicker Valve, Ultimate Direction has taken the hydration industry to the next level with the first valve to offer extreme versatility in flow volume and ease-of-use. For 2006, the company has designed and updated its line of hydration systems using the Kicker Valve technology, new high-performance innovations, the latest components for media devices and stylish new bottles and designs.

“This season we continue to innovate with an expanded line of race and
fitness products,” said Mark J. Herbert, president of Ultimate Direction.
“We are introducing the newly developed Volt pack with an Active Safety
Light feature, and a new Groove component to house MP3/media devices.”

Race

For 2006, Ultimate Direction has created five new race and running specific packs using ultra lightweight fabrics and minimalist designs without sacrificing comfort.

  • Triumph: The perfect bib belt great for runners and competitors who are tired of using safety pins for their bibs. Comes with a gel and key holder.
  • Fury: A minimalist training belt for racing or a shorter run. Comes in four sizes with 2-10 ounce bottles and 1-4 ounce gel flasks.
  • Matrix: A great waist belt for the racer that needs everything in one pack. Comes with a removable 10-ounce bottle in the Horizontal Holster System to reduce sloshing, a removable zippered pouch with attached gel
    pocket and a zippered storage pocket with key hook.

  • Flash: A waist-mounted reservoir pack for training and racing. The compression straps allow the runner to compress the hydration pocket as water is used and the reflective overflow bungee is ideal for stashing a windbreaker.
  • Diablo: The holy grail of racing packs. Comes with a 64-ounce reservoir with Kicker Valve, a 20-ounce bottle with Kicker Valve, a 4-ounce gel flask and stow pockets that are easily located within arms reach for serious
    competitors.

Fitness

This season, Ultimate Direction has engineered endless feature options to meet consumers’ new lifestyle demands. From adding a “Groove” component to house MP3/media devices, to lighted piping on the new Volt for safety,
Ultimate Direction did not overlook any details.

  • FastDraw Extreme: A new twist on the old favorite FastDraw single-bottle, handheld system. The Extreme comes with a 20-ounce neoprene-insulated wrap to keep liquids cold while keeping hands warm.
  • FastDraw Gel: The Gel is perfect for the FastDraw user who also carries energy gel.
  • FastDraw Groove The Groove is perfect for those music-loving runners and walkers. The new neoprene-paded pocket is perfect for an MP3/media device.
  • Access Groove: A waistpack with canted bottle design and Neoprene pocket to hold MP3/media devices that meets the needs of music-driven walkers and runners.
  • Access 2X: This is the perfect pack for hikers looking to have enough fluids as well as storage. Holds two 20-ounce bottles with Kicker Valves in the twin “V” canted bottle holster as well as a stretch zippered storage
    pocket to hold sunscreen, energy bars or sunglasses.

  • Volt: The first pack to come with an Active Safety Flash Pipe™ light for those who need to be seen. Features a removable/replaceable battery and reflective piping on the bottle holder to increase visibility.

Yoga

For 2006, Ultimate Direction has created each of its Yoga packs with a new
Lexan Flower Bottle in a hip new shape that is easy to handle. With room for
storing a mat, a water bottle, valuables and extra gear, the Ultimate Direction Yoga line provides users with everything the need.

Outdoor

With proven innovations, new colors and women-specific styles, there’s a pack for every type of hiking or walking adventurist.

  • Kiska: This new women-specific pack offers a comfortable fit with a canted waist belt and offset belt buckle. The large zippered main pocket and removable waist belt pocket provides enough storage a small camera,
    windbreaker and other essential accessories.
