U.K. private equity firm Silverfleet Capital has acquired footwear retailer Office from Scottish entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter, in a deal that will also see the company's management take a stake in the business.

Office first opened in 1981 and has since grown to 75 stand-alone stores in the UK and Ireland and 46 concessions in House of Fraser, Topshop, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. The business retails a selection of the footwear brands including Ugg, Converse, Vans and Hunter as well as its own-branded shoes, primarily under brands such as Office, Ffor and Poste.
