Deckers Outdoor Corporation plans to take over Wave & Motion, which has been responsible for Ugg's distribution in the German and Austrian markets, as of July 2014.
The eighteen employees of Wave & Motion will keep their roles within the Ugg brand and the showrooms in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Salzburg remain the same, according to a statement received by Sportswear International. Dieter Westphal, who founded the Wave & Motion GmbH 15 years ago, will continue to coordinate as managing director overlooking all tasks related to sales, service and trading support.
“Germany and Austria are very important markets for UGG Australia and we are happy to carry forward the cooperation with Dieter and Sabine Westphal as well as with the competent team of Wave & Motion”, said Dave Powers, Deckers president of Omni-Channel.
