Cotswold Outdoor Group, the UK-based parent of Cotswold Outdoor, Runners Need and Snow + Rock, is reportedly set to relocate its head office from Kemble to nearby Swindon.
The new headquarters measures just over 17,000 square feet and features collaborative working areas, dedicated meeting spaces and training facilities. Cotswold Outdoor said in a statement, “The Swindon ‘Basecamp’ office will provide staff with new and improved modern facilities that focus on people and planet – enabling the company to better live its values and deliver on its sustainability pledges.”
The building has been rated BREEAM ‘Excellent’, has an EPC ‘A’ rating, and has had a net zero carbon fit out.
As part of the move, the business will outsource its logistics and customer service operations to DHL.
Cotswold Outdoor stated, “The new partnership will allow Cotswold Outdoor Group to take advantage of newer facilities and technology to improve efficiency across the supply chain, resulting in smoother logistics and enhanced services for its customers and partners. The multi-user facility is entirely powered by renewable electricity and is DHL’s first operationally carbon-neutral new build site in the UK.”
Cotswold Outdoor Group CEO, Jamie Kristow, said: “This is an important moment for our business—and not because of bricks or glass —but because of what this space represents for our future. An office is never just a building. It’s a signal. A statement about who we are, how we work together, and where we’re heading next.
“It gives us a modern, accessible, sustainably‑designed environment that supports collaboration, flexibility and growth. But more importantly, it gives us a place that puts people at the centre.”
The move and transition are expected to be completed by the second quarter of the current year.
Cotswold Outdoor Group has over 70 physical stores across the United Kingdom.
